“Mr. Dilkhush Meena, an IAS officer serving as the District Electoral Officer (DEO) or Deputy Commissioner (DC) in N&MA, conducted meetings today with various stakeholders including Printing Press Owners, Political Parties regarding Election Expenditure, Media persons, and officials involved in the General Election 2024 in the N&MA District. The purpose was to inform them about different aspects of the Model Code of Conduct and to assess the progress of election-related tasks.

During the meeting with Printing Press Owners, Mr. Dilkhush Meena, in his capacity as the Chairman, informed the attendees that the Election Commission of India (ECI) had implemented the Model Code of Conduct starting from March 16, 2024. He emphasized that, as per the ECI’s directives, there were restrictions on printing pamphlets and posters related to the Election 2024. Consequently, he directed the press owners to ensure that their firm’s or press’s name is printed on banners produced for political parties. Moreover, he instructed them to provide detailed information including the size of banners, the number of banners printed, and the total printing cost incurred by the political parties to the Office of the DEO/DC, N&MA. This process was to be followed in accordance with Section 127-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
Furthermore, the DEO/DC, N&MA conducted a thorough review of the progress of Election Works in collaboration with relevant Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Sector Officers, and Nodal Officers
