Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Police, accompanied by other senior officials including Mr. Ajay Krishan Sharma, IPS, DIGP (Headquarters), Ms. Varsha Sharma, IPS, DIGP (Law & Order), Ms. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, Mr. Sunny Gupta, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District, and Mr. Sandeep Lamba, DySP Fire, conducted a comprehensive three-day field tour from March 14 to 16, 2024.
The tour covered various Police Stations, Police Radio Stations, Fire DGP & senior Officers from Civil/Police Administration visited various Police infrastructures at Nancowry group of Island Stations, Marine Police Operations Centre (Nancowrie), and LOP Tillangchong across the Nancowry group of Islands in Nicobar District. Additionally, they visited Indian Navy (IN) and Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Stations and engaged in discussions with officers and staff to enhance liaison and coordination.

The tour commenced with a visit to Katchal on March 14, 2024, where the delegation inspected police infrastructure including the Police Station, Police Radio Station, and Fire Station. They also held discussions with the staff to address their concerns. Valuable feedback and suggestions were received, and directions were given to improve the basic infrastructure of the police at PS Katchal promptly.
On March 15, 2024, an inspection was carried out at PS Nancowrie, with the DGP issuing directives to utilize the infrastructure of the MPOC, Nancowrie, more effectively. The inspection concluded with discussions where the grievances and suggestions of the staff were addressed to boost morale and motivate them to work wholeheartedly for public service
