
The Election Commission of India has announced the General Election 2024 for the Parliamentary Constituency of A & N Islands, scheduled to take place in the first phase on 19.04.2024. According to the election schedule, the nomination filing process will commence from 20.3.2024 to 27.03.2024 at the Office of the Returning Officer, A & N Parliamentary Constituency (located at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in South Andaman).

Following the Election Commission’s directives, no vehicles will be permitted within a 100-meter radius of the Returning Officer’s Office during the nomination filing period. Barricades will be erected by the authorities to enforce this restriction until the nomination deadline.

It is advised to the general public that vehicles intending to visit the Returning Officer’s Office during the period from 20.03.2024 to 27.03.2024 should park at the PBMC parking area in front of the IP&T Department, as vehicles will not be allowed within the designated perimeter surrounding the Returning Officer’s Office.
