Andaman and Nicobar Administration Directorate of Tourism
This is brought to the notice of all concern that this Directorate has received
complaints from solo women travelers and guests about privacy breach and misconduct by some watersports operators during conduct of watersports activities. This is very serious issue and its tarnishes the image of Andaman Tourism in a very larger scale.
In view of the above, all the water sports operators ( Scuba Diving, Sea Walk,
Parasailing, Kayaking, Sea Kart and Snorkel Guides) are hereby directed to interact/
behave with guests/ tourists with at most respect regardless of age, ethnicity, gender,
religious affiliation, disability or sexual orientation. This Directorate emphasizes on zero tolerance policy for any form of women
harassment, privacy breach, misconduct or discrimination and committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment in the watersports industry across Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Any form of women/ female harassment, misconduct, privacy breach or
discrimination will be viewed seriously by this Directorate and necessary actin as
deemed fit will be initiated against that watersports centre or individual.
This issue with the approval of the competent authority.
