The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, visited Onge Settlement at Dugong Creek and had an interactive session with the Onge PVTGs and Government functionaries to understand their concerns and enquired about the welfare of Onge tribes and encouraged them to speak out their
problems, if any. The Deputy Commissioner visited the Onge habitations and thereafter, visited the residence of Onge tribes and inspected the school & various other i n f r a s t r u c t u r e s available in the Island. The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the students and teachers, AAJVS team, staff of Sub-Centre, Police Executives and Govt. Employees of other Departments for their relentless services in such a difficult area, a press release from DC, SA said.
