
The most of fishing community people started their life’s Journey from this market surrounded areas of Haddo fish market now they all scattered in different island and different place of Port Blair city. The Haddo Fish market is located adjacent to “Van Vikas”, Office and the fisher woman’s are from the local area, if you are travelling from Chatham jetty the next bus stand is Haddo fish bus stand. If you walk 100 meter you ll get Haddo vegetable market.

Every night the fishermen go to sea to catch the fish and sell it to the fisherwomen. On every morning the locals find the fresh fish in there colony and some time at there doors, these fisherwomen sells the fish carrying on her head on the flat basket. The fisher women visits every colony with slogan “Machi ye Machi”. There is fishermen colony situated near to the Haddo Wharf (Harbour).
