How To Reach Andaman And Nicobar Islands By Flight
There are daily flights from various cities to Port Blair and Airport IATA code is “IXZ” Veer Savarkar Airport, is an International Airport is situated in the capital Port Blair, it only the grand entry to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Port Blair, is connected with Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi and Bangalore and some times Vizag and Bhubaneshwar too. Air Vistara, Air India, Indigo, Spice Jet, Akasa Air, Go Air & Spice Jet Airlines operate regular flights. Foreign flights are also permitted to land at Port Blair subject to the emergency if only but fulfillment of guidelines of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Veer Savarkar Airport is an Defense Airport as per the DGCA norms.
There are daily flights from various cities of India to Andaman’s capital Port Blair. Currently, there are no international flights from this airport, but they are expected to start in 2025. The airport, formerly known as Port Blair Airport, is located just 2 kilometers south of the city. Being the only major airport here, it connects Andaman and Nicobar with the rest of the country (INDIA).

Regular cruises are available from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam to and from Port Blair. There are three to four trips every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice versa earlier. The Directorate of Shipping Services a Department under Andaman & Nicobar Administration schedules three ship to Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Kolkata. It is four day trip to the respective destination vice-versa to Port Blair
