Based on a specific and credible information, a team of Anti Narcotics PS conducted a raid leading to successful seizure of 02 nos. Cannabis plant, of height approximately 2.5 meter & weight about 1.750 kg. The accused has been booked under relevant sections of NDPS Act, 1985.
In a proactive effort to tackle drug trafficking and ensure community safety, the Anti-Narcotics Police Station carried out a raid based on specific and credible information on March 19, 2024. Led by Inspector S. Kannan, the police team, which included Sub-Inspector Mohd Rahil Islam, Head Constable Sharfudeen, Police Constable Raja Rao, and Lady Police Constable Nandita Mistry, conducted the raid at Telugu Basti, near Sri Ram Temple, Old Pahargaon. They confiscated two cannabis plants weighing 1.750 kilograms from the backyard of V. Chinnari’s residence. Chinnari, the wife of the late V. Shankar Rao and aged 45, residing at Telugu Basti, near Sri Ram Temple, Old Pahargaon, was subsequently arrested following proper procedures.
The raid was carried out under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Narcotics) Shri Vishesh Dhatterwal, and overall supervision of Superintendent of Police (CID) Shri Rajeev Ranjan, IPS. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act 1985 at the Anti-Narcotics Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing.
