OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF ANIIMS, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ADMINISTRATION SCIENCES

In continuation with the advertisement vide F.No. 15-2/ANIIMS/Rec.Cell/Staff Nurse
Appointment/2023/266, dated 23.02.2024 application are invited for the post of “Nursing Officer” under Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, Port Blair for period of 03 years on contractual basis, extendable upto 05 years depending upon the annual performance evaluation. All the posts are coterminous with the regular recruitment.

Essential Qualification :
 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (12th Std) passed from a recognized/ Board/ University/ Institute.
 Diploma in Central Nursing/ Bsc. (Nursing) from a recognized Institution/ College.
 Should be registered with the Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council

Desirable:
 A Degree in Medical and Surgical Nursing/ Midwifery from a recognized school of nursing/ College.
 Two years’ experience

Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (for both male and female candidates) nursing officer job

The crucial date for
determining the age limit shall be the closing date of receipt of application from candidates i.e.,
17.06.2024. Age Relaxation shall be allowed in accordance with the instructions issued by the Govt. Of
India and Andaman & Nicobar Administration from time to time. Interested and eligible candidates should submit their application in the prescribed format
(available in the official website of ANIIMS http://andssw1.and.nic.in/aniims and official website of
Andaman and Nicobar Administration https://www.andaman.gov.in) along with the copies of relevant
documents to Recruitment Cell, ANIIMS (from 10:00 AM till 04:00 PM).
The completed application should have required supporting, i.e., copies of academic qualification,
experience certificate, Photo ID. Incomplete application stands cancelled/rejected.
The number of vacancies is subject to change without prior intimation
(increase/decrease/cancelled).
Last date of receiving the completed application offline is on 17.06.2024 till 04 pm. No
application will be entertained after last date. Online application will not be entertained.
The venue of selection test/ date of selection test/ and all will be intimated through the official
website of ANIIMS (http://andssw1.and.nic.in/aniims) after scrutiny of the applications received.
Decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidate will be final and no
further representation will be entertained in this regard.

Scheme of Examination:
A. The selection will be done on the basis of Written Examination.
B. The standard of questions for the written test will be generally in conformity with the
educational standards and / or minimum professional / technical qualifications prescribed
for the post.
C. The Written Test shall contain three parts with weightage of marks as below:-
i. Professional / technical subject related questions — 80%
ii. General awareness-10%
iii. General Science — 10%

General Awareness : Knowledge of current affairs, Indian Geography, Culture & History of India including freedom struggle, Indian Constitution, Environmental issues concerning India & World, Sports, General Scientific and Technological Development, etc.

General Science : Physics, Chemistry & Life Sciences (Upto 10th Standard CBSE Syllabus),
